    Lost/stolen $2,000, wallet and key

Just venting a tiny bit here.

Yea so, I did two things I never really do which is..
    1) hold a large sum of $ and
    2) keep my wallet in my jacket pocket

I did these two things after working everyday around 14+ hours for the past two weeks in and outta town.
That morning I had just return from a city about 3.5 hours away doing a rigging loadout for Disney on Ice, and went straight to work around 1200 for an A/V tech job when I returned
Planned to make money orders for bills and such that morning, but was running late so I figured I would do it right after work.
There was a bit of contemplating before doing so. Stared at my wallet and key before going in, but made a quick choice to take it with me.
My car key is broken at the handle, so the safest spot I had for it was inside a seem in the wallet which worked great.
I had to carry a bunch of equipment so I simply placed it in my jacket pocket for maneuverability and kept it there.

There are some barriers you must leap a bit over, and that occurred about 4 times. The first two instances, I felt
Worked about about 4 hours and then was relieved of duties.
I made a quick trip to the restroom and then started the walk down the back of the kitchen hallway to the front desk.
Roughly 8 seconds into the walk I felt a lack of weight and confirmed I was missing my wallet of all things.
Went back the the restroom and there was one man in a urinal and no wallet.
I didn't pester as I felt that to be rude and began backtracking.
This took about 2 hours to do as the bleachers took the most to navigate through and under each one.
I only visited 2 rooms; sound booth, and an equipment storage room.
These are fairly small and organized as I had just done some cleaning that day.

My memory has been patchy as I was in a pretty heavy rear end where I became a victim of a TBI(traumatic brain injury), some scarring on my abdominal region, and 5 fractures in my spine.
This has made work pretty difficult even 6 months after.
So, I'm fine with admitting that it may be simply put somewhere and I forgot.
Though, I continued my search for the next 12 hours in that building.
Cycling through every room and seat, barrier and stair.
Eventually calling it a night a sleeping on the very cold floor in the sound booth for 3 hours, since my car key was in the wallet.
I was unable to leave as my home is about a 4 hour walk, and I had to return anyways in the morning to work the Basketball games
so- (time working 12-4pm, time searching 4pm-4am, sleep time 4am-7am back at work time 8am-11pm)

Security stated they are UNABLE to review camera footage as there are only two people allowed to do so, which they have nothing to do with security.
    We'll call them A and B.
A says her cameras are not working? so she must physically come in to review the footage.. but she is out sick and will not come in, so i must ask B.
B says his cameras are not working either, nor are they working when he is physically there.. and he will not be able to review any footage until someone fixes that.. so I must ask A again.
A says they will come in the next morning(2 days after the initial loss)
At around 12pm today, she texts me that she is still sicky, and will not come in.

The work crew was very small the day of(25th). I asked around and had everyone seem kinda sincere about it. Had one guy in Operations say "I would not return that shit.. if i found that i would not give that back". Which, ofcourse, was in an almost joking way.
The reason I even mention this is because Operations recently had a "theft" incident where someone stole all of the belongings of another coworker.
The results of that issue was to move the victim to another department..

I have another key with no sensor on it that I leave in the car when I sometimes forget things.
Breaking in is pretty simple; stick something kinda sturdy in and pull the door handle with it.
Hoping maybe my belongings in the car but, ofcourse just wishful thinking.
I called my brother(lives 2.5 hours away) the second day after I felt pretty confirmed in feeling my wallet is gone, and asked what he wanted me to do with the car since it's in his name.
I could hotwire it, leave it, or get another key programmed but needed $ since my cards had $0 on it, are locked now, and had $0 in cash.
Father(lives where brother lives) ended up hearing and made an arrangement to get another key programmed.

Pop-a-lock guy shows up 2 hours after they said they would.
Guy worked p quickly as I already had a key to base things off of, and I now have a transportation again.
I then proceed to listen to this man talk for about 2.5 hours about how he worked on the stairs and construction here, mechanic stuff, and driving jobs.
Which, I didn't really mind as I get to stay on the clock and was really tired of being in the building. Learned a lot about him, but not his name.. anyways.

    Current Conclusion

I'm finally home with no bills paid, no money, ID stolen again, still waiting for security footage, and a little loss of morale BUT
finally got a call about some PIP money from the rear end collision so.. hoping to get that in soon to still have a home.
Other than that, things are pretty well!
thank ya for maybe reading, and I hope yall have a decent holiday!
