    [8-bit] The Slime Warrens

This is another song for the same game I made Gale's Theme for a few months ago. This is the level music for the Slime Warrens, the central hub of the first part of the game. I aimed for something that was pleasant to listen to while you walked around and interacted with NPCs, and I really like how it turned out. Comments and feedback is appreciated!

This is the song that plays when you're at the central hub of the game, the place where all of the NPCs, shopkeepers, and plot-significant scenes are. The opening note plays as you enter a hallway bri

I feel like the melody does give me the lydian feel (#4, baby), but I'm not really getting it a lot from the harmony and bassline.

A (different) lydian chord vamp or even just a pedal note could make it feel stronger grounded in that.

[I > II or I > vii vamps invoke the strongest lydian modal harmony]

Key change was also a bit jarring to me (intended?), I'd move to a closer key and approach with a 2-5-1 to make it more seamless.

Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Glad to see people still posting here occasionally.

Thanks for the response - this is the kind of feedback I was looking for.

The harmony and bassline in the first part with the key change was the hardest for me to settle on, and I'm still not totally happy with it. I appreciate the pointers, since I'm not really familiar with composing in lydian. I'll probably continue to work with it and keep what you mentioned in mind.
