by the way, i made a big rambling thread about this that didnt make any sense, but it would be nice if you could view "custom filters" on the < and > arrows on r3 instead of having them apply to every single category. its nice playing random songs and then "starring" them and then having a screen to go to where i can play my favourites, but the client makes this hard...!

Can u please elaborate on a solution and make an issue on the GitHub please?
oh, i dunno how to use github lol... but my idea would just be:
1) there would be a < > that wld go to a page called FILTERS. and any filter that u set in "filters" would be selectable as a dropdown (if you created at least one filter)
2) the songs selected by each filter would just be all the songs in the game filtered by your filter
3) that's it i think
0) in the filter page, there should be a way to sort the songs as well as filter them (this can be some separate tree below "add new filter" where u can "add new sort". if there are two sorts, the first one will be applied, then the second one in the case of a tie, and then the third one in case of a double tie, and so on
whats wrong with just applying a filter, its like 2 extra clicks

its eight to eleven extra clicks! (four to add the filter and then three to turn it off, then anywhere between one extra click (if you aren't checking the effect on the song screen) and four extra clicks (if you are checking the effect on the song screen) to change filters. then it is four extra clicks to change filters again, or five extra clicks if you did not clear the filter you were working with previously, for each filter
some examples of filters can be "short songs" or "songs i starred" or "very easy songs" or "songs i didn't play yet". these are categories that make quite a lot of sense to be able to easily change between after a few songs of each. as it currently stands it is about 10% as simple to access this as changing "from token songs to miscellaneous songs"
by sorting, i simply mean "in what order the songs will display on the list, going top to bottom". if the filter sorts songs by "id, ascending", the song with the smallest id number will be at the top and the largest at the bottom. if it was sorted by "rank, descending", the song with your largest rank will be at the top, and the smallest at the bottom. etc
