Youmacon 2019
This is a planning thread for Youmacon 2019!
Just got back from an amazing Youmacon (in Detroit) where we had a mini FFR meetup. It was a lot of fun, so we figured we should make a thread to see if anyone else would be interested in going to Youma next year
Awesome things about Youmacon:
RHYTHM GAMES~ There is a huge arcade at Youma that has cabinets of pretty much every game you could want. IIDX, Pop'n, Sound Voltex, Jubest, Taiko, ITG/DDR/PIU, Rhythm Heaven arcade, Dance Maniax, and probably other stuff I forgot. There are lots of cool other games too, Japanese fighting games and other cool shit
The venue is great for a convention. Lots of convenient stuff like a food court in the bottom of the hotel, CVS in the venue, people mover to get from one building to another, and tons of accommodation within a very short distance
Nice sight seeing and stuff to do in downtown Detroit, it's right on the river, pretty buildings and good stuff to eat. Detroit is definitely on the up and up right now and there is tons of new development going on
This year's guests were awesome (if you are willing to wait in line)
And: it's a party and the atmosphere is dope
So yeah, it's a bit early to start planning anything definite but why not start thinking about it? We can use this thread to pool hotel rooms, rides, etc and split costs and also plan fun stuff to do when we are there!
