          yah its challenging balancing the mix of vocals over drums/percussive elements when I want them to have weight and impact - originally the vocals as a whole was louder but i did a trick were bringing the master volume down to a barely audible level helped me notice the vocals being disproportionately louder than they should of been...

          But I know what you're saying in terms of incorporating a dynamic lift leading into the climatic chorus, it would be hard to be a bad idea but I like my drums too much
