Re: ClassicBirch's Originals Volume 1
After looking through all the files, I've got some thoughts and questions.
1. When making these, did you use any stepfile programs like DDream/ArrowVortex?
2. Do you use any music editing programs to cut the unused parts of your songs?
3. Make sure to look at your .sm file on Bittersweet Symphony, For Funky Fish, One Step Beyond, Shiny Tech 2, Super Mario World Levels, and We Interrupt This Program. Your mp3 name in the .sm file wasn't the same as the one you actually used in your folder. I had to change the name to see the actual file in ArrowVortex (the stepfile program that I use).
4. The way you shaped your arrow patterns don't always represent the beat. If I hear a pattern like ABC-ABC, then I would expect you to step 123-123 (or any other triplet - doesn't always need to be 123). Let's look at one of your songs - Firestorm. In the first 6 notes, I hear ABC-ABC, but you made it 123-234. Also, think about why you're using a jump, hand, or quad. In the same song, you did the pattern of "jump-jump-holdjump". Why were the first two jumps [14]'s? Later on, you use jumps a lot, but they don't represent a
kick or any other special sound.
So far, there are some songs here that have potential or were more complete than others. These are: Ballers, Bittersweet Symphony, Midnight, Super Mario World Levels, Take Off and Land, Vegetable Valley, and We Interrupt This Program.
