The setup details are in the above link. Backup6 is a semi-open setup: you will know the possible role combinations, but not the exact distribution of roles in the game when it starts.
The universal backup will instantly get promoted to a town power role (PR) when the original PR dies. So if the sun fan is the backup, I'm the tracker and I die in the night, he instantly gets promoted to tracker starting the following day.
