    Lazy Chord Progressions

So my birthday's coming up in a week and I've been wanting to write a song. It'll most likely be just instrumental since it's easier than attempting to write lyrics and I don't have a quiet space to record vocals. I've also been wanting to go for a relaxed, groovin' vibe.

Right now, my main issue is getting a good chord progression to work with. Does anyone have a favorite set of chords that can work with this or a certain key signature I should be working with? I've tried to implement 7ths and try to find places for sus chords, but I've been having trouble with where to move the notes to flow more fluently. Or if you have a song that comes to mind, maybe it can give me a bit more inspiration to what I'm looking for.

Here's a few songs on youtube that have a similar style to what I'm going for. Thanks in advance.

I'm a big fan of anchory chords, like, if theyre like:

[124][134][124][134], theyre probably the best like, chord jacks when it comes to patterning files and such, cause theyre like, wrist jacks but also require good finger control

oh those are awesome. i keep going back to songs that have them cuz they're soooo satisfying when you perfect them. [123][234][123][234] is pretty cool when it makes you shift your weight a bit.

Total music noob, but here's a progression I like.

          Am G F C Dm Am B E (repeat)

You can add all kinds of 7ths and tensions where you want, let me know if it's too basic or fun or whatever!

Got caught up in work so I wasn't able to try it out til now. It's a really nice progression! I tried moving a few notes around and somehow winded up with this:

            F G6 D6 C Fdim C6 D6-add9 E-add9

Apparently, i like 6 chords! Lol it's a really strange mess of notes so here's the layout of the notes:

So the D6 doesn't have the 3rd in it so the 4 notes in that chord can all resolve. This might be pretty fun to throw into different parts. I'm excited!
