this takes me back to college theater
yeah, if you don't know anything about how films are made this sounds like it's awesome --- but it's a trap
there are SO many shitty and low budget films and plays people want you to audition for just so you can be some extremely minor role yet have a commitment to every rehearsal anyway (because then you'll be invested in the show and will pimp it out to your friends)
some people will invite you to audition just because they like having a lot of people auditioning as it makes them feel popular/desirable
I've been asked to audition for tons of things, and none of them were the good kind of auditionComment
