    Music recording software for PC

Hey guys I'm just looking for some opinions for what the best PC music recording software is, It needs to be easy to use also. My girlfriend is trying to get some recordings of herself out there. We want something similar to garage band. Needs to have reverb and be able to be recorded over prerecorded music or a karaoke track.

a quick google search didn't bring me directly to audacity's website so i had to do some deep scouring to find a program, such as audacity, that would allow you to record audio. after a strenuous 30 seconds working with google, I was directed to audacityteam.org. I've used audacity before, so I can vouch for audacity's use as an audio editing program

logic is like identical to garage band but rip the price difference. audacity its pretty good considering its free ware although i personally get annoyed using it... protools is the industry standard but that maybe overkill for what you guys wanna do. I use FL studio but its kind of hard to recommend it for audio recording unless you have a decent audio interface although you can always get a usb mic :v and FL always has a demo you can try and last but not least its economically reasonable for the power it has, i got producer edition for 199 *_* and life time free updates.

We're both really new to using this type of software and my gf gave up right away, I stuck with it for a while and figured out how to use mixcraft but not very well lol.

EDIT: will update and post some tracks when we have a few finished products.
