i talked to stian about this but (warning extreme prejudice incoming) the idea of consorting with a bunch of socially awkward teens wearing furry and anime costumes who can only go outside when grouped with a few hundred of their own kind once or twice a year doesnt rly fly with me
i was also totally on a sleep deprivation high when i made this post and forgot about it (cuz i wanted to post it in that locked thread and couldn't)Comment

oh brother. give me a break.
if there were really any people who "could only go outside when grouped with a few hundred of their own kind once or twice a year" they wouldn't be able to get a job to pay for the trip in the first place
people who have extreme interests in subject matter tend to be a little weird, but if you're actually socially savvy, weirdness alone should not bother you.
