How's it going everyone.
I've always loved playing poker since I was 13. It is my dream to someday get good enough to go pro and move to Nevada or somewhere that I can play fulltime online, and be able to go to the casinos for a lot softer live play.
I live in Georgia, so my only real options to play on are Carbon, bovada, and Americas card room. I played all three and Carbon was the only one with a large enough player base and a decent game skin. Also I use an HUD so bovada's anonymous tables suck for me. There's usually enough people on carbon that I can multitable 6 games or so of .10/.25 games at night.
Having played for real money for only 6 months now, I would say my skill has improved greatly. I went from spewing through hundreds my first couple months, to now I can consistently grind up good stacks through multiple tables at a time. I watch strategy videos nonstop, read articles, I lurk 2+2 forums while playing, and the like.
I remember FFR having a large poker fanbase before and I was wondering if anyone here actually played at a more-than-casual level, and if so maybe I could get one or two people together with me to try to have a small group to play and develop together.
If you HAVE played long term cash game poker before, I would love to see you post how it went for you, if you were mainly a winning or losing player, what you think your weaknesses were, and if you still play today. Also if you mainly play online or if you play in physical casinos.
My goal with this thread is to hopefully keep track so my stats, money won/lost, and overall try to tighten my game up by having to show my results to you guys, and also see who else here takes poker seriously.
