I think it means you've lost your connection, and thus it can't give you anymore credits. You can keep playing an already loaded song, however. I admit I may be incorrect, and I've experienced this too, if you can't load a song you haven't played recently, you've lost your connection.

Sometimes the DB gets overloaded with qureris that it might forget about you essentially, just wait until the credits show up as added, then leave that screen.

Clearing my cache has never failed to solve this problem for me.
