Yolomania Vol. 3
Back for the third time around. Once again we're mixing up the judging format and this time we're adding a new release idea too.
This pack will be released on Friday, July 25th (2014) regardless of the number of submissions we receive and how many files end up in the pack.
I'm setting a release date right off the bat for multiple reasons:
1. This gives a firm submission deadline so we can plan better. This also lets people know right off the bat how we are expecting this pack to move along.
2. No file goal means we wont accept things just to push the pack further along which we might have been subconsciously guilty of in the past.
3. It seemed interesting so we're trying it to test out how it goes. If it works out we'll do it again next time.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Your file should be relatively difficult. These packs cater towards intermediate players, keep that in mind. We haven't typically rejected for files being too easy in the past but we will if it warrants it.
2. Your file must be on sync. No exceptions. We will advise on how to fix the sync if it is off by too much.
3. Your file should not include graphics. If you include graphics, your graphics will be judged and possibly rejected. In short I would just recommend that you not include any. I will post a graphics help thread about one month before the pack release to get help this time around, you can make your graphics at that point.
4. Your file should be fun. If no one in the Skype group has a lot of fun with your file, or no one feels like it offers any replay value, we will probably reject it.
5. Good audio quality only please! We will reject for bad quality audio and if we can find a higher quality version we will point it out to you. Avoid YouTube rips where possible, but if you must make sure you rip with high quality (its possible...lol).
6. All submissions must be recieved within a week of release (July 18th). Absolutely no late submissions will be accepted for Vol. 3.
7. You don't need to include a difficulty rating with your chart. We will re-rate them all anyway. Use your best judgment for whether or not your chart should go on heavy/oni/whatever.
8. No DDream BPM Flux. Obviously relevant to static bpm only files.
9. Your file must play well on cmod. Xmod files are great but negative bpms tend to mess with cmod too much and I will have to reject any files that use negative bpms.

Judging Format:
- We do not have an official list of judges, rather your file will be critiqued by the Yolomania Skype group in general. The people currently in the Skype group are: rCaliberGX, Skwid, Staiain, IronSheep, cedolad, and myself.
- Not all of these people will play every file that comes in. I personally will play and try to find as many errors as possible in all submissions, beyond that its open game to anyone else in the group who wants to download and try.
- I will be making the final call on all submissions. I will use the people in the Skype group to gather opinions to help my judgement. Consider this more along the lines of me being the one to post the official review, even though the opinions in it might come from multiple sources. This is designed to keep judging files efficient and easy, as well as consistent. We're doing this because in the past we were all pretty unanimous in our decisions anyway.
- If your file is rejected we will simply state why. If your file is rejected we will not consider it again. Rejection means there was a problem with the song choice, or the chart really just wasn't a good fit for the pack even with lots of minor changes.
- If your file is conditional we will point out exactly why, and include all reasons why we made this call. We will try to be thorough.
- If your file is accepted this means we expect no further changes but you are free to make small modifications or fixes to your file and send an updated version at any time.
- I am always open to adding more people to the Yolomania Skype group to get their opinions on files. If you'd like to join the group let me know! More opinions is always good!
- I will try and do reviews quickly, at least once a week or so.
