      with that said, a lot of the movie nights from my childhood were musicals, and shirley temple was definitely played more than once in our household. news articles are saying that she died of natural causes (ie old age) so I'm hoping she went peacefully.

          It's distressing to me the number of people who think Shirley Temple Black was a separate person from Shirley Temple. Bonus distress for how many people assume she was a black child actress.
