    Bejeweled Deluxe

I've always loved this game. I used to play it all the time in my grandma's old house almost every week. ^.^ I love how the background changes every time you reach a new level, and I also enjoy the calm theme of the game. The music is also a lot of fun to listen to in this game, and I think it really fits with the gameplay itself.

I recommend trying out this game at least once.

Oh, also, the highest level in Bejeweled Deluxe in Classic Mode I ever reached was either Level 7 or 8, although today when I re-installed the game the highest level I could achieve was Level 4. ^.^

*edit* The highest level I reached in Timed Mode was Level 4.

I was comepletely obsessed with Bejewled Blitz a few years ago. I played it for hours nonstop. My highest score was around 850,000 with the Phoenix Prism. I still have some videos on YouTube of them.

I will keep saying Bejeweled Twist.

Also, since we're on the topic of Pop Cap games.

              AstroPop, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I was actually thinking about making a thread for Bejeweled Blitz but I didn't think people would be interested. My highest right now is 1.5 mil (Did it on my Dad's iPad by accident, lol), and I think my highest non-boost is around 600k. But I've been playing for a few months and I've been addicted since then. I'm pretty low on coins though because I always spend my coins on Ice Bursts. But I've been saving up lately. At 275k, I believe. I don't know how you people save up all those coins, haha.

Even though you guys are better than me, I think it would be cool to play against people on FFR. I haven't played in over a year, so I haven't seen any of the new features or rare gems if any. Might give it another shot sometime. My PC died, so I couldn't play until I get a new one though.

They're essentially the same game, just with different mechanics, more features, and flashier stuff.

Bejeweled Deluxe (Which is just bejeweled that has it's own standalone game) is a harder game for sure, mainly because the game doesn't auto-generate blocks so you'll always have a move you can do. So it tends to end quicker than the modern ones.

Also you can't really setup blocks so you can get a special block that may or may not help you out. I don't recall the original even having a special block. It just awarded you slightly more points if you got 4 instead of 3 or 5 instead of 3.

Eeeeh... I guess all in all, I'm not too fond of the very first one. I much prefer Bejeweled 2 and onwards.

I see what you mean, but I think the original game has its own merits. The music is really nice, and I have a feeling of achievement when I reach a new level because the game never gives me extra moves or special gems. Also, the background is very simple, so it's a lot more relaxing to me.

I am a huge fan of Bejeweled 3. It's available on Steam:

The biggest, brightest Bejeweled ever! Discover all-new ways to play the world’s #1 puzzle game. Find your perfect match with 8 breathtaking game modes that meet all your moods.

I really love the variety of game modes. Each one is sufficiently different from the others to provide a lot of different ways to have fun with the 3-match concept. Very addicting, and highly recommended. I think it is really missing online leader boards though. Luckily you can compete against your Steam friends!

I have never played earlier Bejeweled games, but I might give Bejeweled Deluxe a go at some point. I found Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook a lot of fun a couple of years back; was addicted to it for a couple of months. I somehow always found 15-20 minutes every day to have at it.

EDIT: The price for Bejeweled 3 on Steam is absurd though. I wouldn't think of paying more than $10 for it.
