Anyone want to compete in speedruns this winter break? (SNES games mostly?)

I've been watching some of those Awesome Games Done Quick videos and they seem like a lot of fun -- anyone interested in doing some speedruns this winter break for SNES games?

I'm just tossing the idea out there for the time being -- I have no particular structure in mind, but I'm thinking Mario games/Zelda/MMX/DKC series/whatever/etc in some sort of centralized chat/cam spot (assuming people are not able to meet up in one location).

So this won't be a meet-up at all?? or it will be but also have camchat? I would definitely be up for seriously learning Super Metroid any% (~1 hour on emu is my PB) but I need to buy a SNES first.

Nice short notice too, someone's bored

Well I mean it definitely could be -- depends on everyone's willingness/schedule/etc.

You are an evil, heartless man for even suggesting that quarter muncher.

Sounds like a blast. I dunno what you have in mind setup-wise, we could just do chill tc speedrun fun. imo whatever we feel like we can get people to take action on at this point. We could make a skype group of interested peeps too.

If we were doing primarily SNES I'd start with the Mario's

Might be interested if emulator is allowed.
My PAL SNES is bad for speedrunning

I'd be using an emulator because I don't own a SNES, lol

If I was any good at speedrunning I'd be down. But alas, I'm pretty horrible compared to all of you probably :P
