    Wafles' Journey To Not Be Bad (Progress Thread)

    In the interest of saving space and not cluttering the brag board with topics that no one cares about I'm just going to use this as a spot to document my progress mostly for myself. Most of the stuff I post here is just going to be the scores I'm proud of after I have a good session.

    I've only been playing Stepmania on spread since late 2012. Several years prior to this (think 2005ish) I used to play some DDR songs one handed, but never really went anywhere further than that. So far I've gone from barely passing most of the FFR Seasons songs, to now AAAing several NB files, but there's still a long way to go.

    edit: over a year later into this and i've improved so much since the start, glad I went ahead with making this thread, its been a fun journey


    Best couple of scores from today:

    Body Breakdown A, failed miserably at the nasty ass polyrythm solo but the rest of it actually went surprisingly well for a 7 minute 200 bpm js file! 500+ greats is pretty cool rofl


    12 Little Fragments of Silence (icys) AA. This isn't really even hard anymore I don't think, its still under 90% but I blame that on my accuracy being shit during the rolls. That and really piss poor MA at 220bpm

                  I approve of this, post much, much more stuff and don't be afraid they might not be good cause you'll wreck them later, and you get to compare them later 8D

                      I remember playing with you Rarity! Been a while.

                      And thanks Staiain. I'm really happy with my progress already, I hope to keep this thread active for a few months (or years??) and just have my progress documented really nicely!

                              Didn't play much today but this one stood out. I used to think this file was really really hard, and now I can pretty easily FC it (one silly miss in a file I havent played in a while lol).

                                  St. Scarhand. I'm really bad at constant 8th jumpstream so this was really big for me.


                                  Redefine from Nuclear Blast 4. Barely pulled the A out.

                                                          Sightread this shit, I think I can legitimately pass it and maybe A it if I get a little faster. File overall feels slightly harder than Redefine, but not significantly. Still havent played Zag's scarhand, I swear I'll do that soon.


                                                          Edit: Ok actually got some good screenshots to post finally.


                                                          First St. Scarhand - I think I can A this, but goddamn if some of those patterns aren't rough. 2 or 3 more plays and this is an A I think.


                                                          Little Nappy - Easy 200 bpm js. Only reason I'm posting this is because this was near FC on my sightread which was kind of a big deal to me.


                                                          Tower of Saints (NB4) - Been trying to AA this for a long time, finally got it.





                                                          And finally...when I first started playing passing the heavy chart on We Luv Lama was my 1 year goal. I should have set my sights higher as I'm only 9 months into playing. Maybe by November I can AA? We'll see.
