    +1 Thread of Bad Music



    Monotony + Me = Absolutely all I can do. I somehow spent 5 and a half hours on this, and got nearly nothing noteworthy done. This song needs less of the same pattern over and over again, and more breaks and vocals and shit. /rant

      I could definitely help you mix your drums and add breaks because, yeah, you don't have that down yet. (they sound very flat / dull and dont cut through the mix at all)

      I do have to say though, you are getting much better at synthwork. The lead has a simple melody and great tone. The pad supports it well also.
      (even though it's the same thing over and over it manages to at least hold my attention due to its fantastic sound)

      Unless you have some extreme rare or odd synths that I can't get I'd like the .flp for this since you are into collabs.

      ps: your mix is nowhere near perfect but the pic was cute

          s'all good

          and this is a huge improvement, but i'm a strong opponent of the generic drum sequence that came in at ~:50

          but im actually like floored with how much better this is than your previous stuff
          thing about this is that you have a good groundwork, it just seems like you're not really willing to typically deviate from motifs (work on that)

              I know my mix is nowhere near perfect. xD I wish I was that good.

              I worked on something during Cloud Nine and it turned out nearly the same but it sounds a little better imo.
              I'll PM you the .flp (or rather the zipped .flp (.zip) file) tomorrow or the day after, since I didn't know to put it on my flash drive before I came to the library.

              Can you explain further on "it just seems like you're not really willing to typically deviate from motifs (work on that)"? I'm not quite sure I understand. Thanks for not holding a grudge, also.

                  like most of your songs (shown to frr) are composed of the same ideas looped with small changes; like with this one, pretty much more of the same for the entirety, be willing to just completely stray from your basis
