i am the advocate of all non-moronic newbies

b/cs the rest of u all just flame them for their simplistic questions, i have decided to officially declare myself the official "guy who stands up for the poor newbies." so, all you new people who get flamed, dont worry. i'll be here.

NOTE: do not confuse newbs with n00bs. newbies are just new, asking new person type questions. valid, but old, already answered a billion times type things, or those who miss small tidbits of the rules that were hard to see anyway. n00bs are idiots who blatently disregard rules, post obviously moronic things that any idiot could figure out, like "how do i play FFR??" or those who use excessive punctuation and other dumbass things.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Yeah, we have a newb forum for them to get introduced and to show them the guidelines.

    Good going there, chief.

    Now in Paperback!

yes, but everywhere else they post they get flamed to the depths of hell, and i always step in to try and protect them. i'm just issuing this as a warning, and because i'm extremely bored and dont want to finish my research paper, and it's getting late so my mind is kinda going to slop.

anywho, be nice to the newbs, or else u'll face to the somewhat unrelenting wrath of me.

eh? I should have a reputation by now for not flaming newbs... Oh and Arch0wl has a sticky in n00b forum saying that there is no difference between n00b and newb but I personally agree with your version. Makes more sense.

yes, i've seen the newb/n00b distinction in other places. makes sense because newb has new in it, whereas n00b is often written in leet, the language of stupid idiots.

oh, and good job on not being mean to the newbs. i didnt say it was everybody (ok, so maybe i kinda did), but a large number of people are very mean to the new people. we were all new once, so calm down guys.

in the end, it's just another fairly pointless website for another fairly pointless game which is an idea mostly gotten from an already existing pointless game. and yes, i know alot of u will be like "nuhuh, FFR is totally original, idiot!" but that's for another post. my point is, its just a game, and a highly flawed (but still cool) flash game at that.

Newbs need to read the rules. If they read the rules, then everything will be fine.

If you think people are mean to newbs now, you should have seen it awhile ago. The newb forum was designed to stop the hatin'. If a newb posts in the wrong forum, they obviously didnt read the rules and thus, their punishment is being flamed.

yeah, well, sometimes they will just ask a silly question and get flamed. also, some of the rules are placed in one forum but not in another. very few people have gone to every single section, so even if a new person reads one set of rules, they may miss them. for example: there is a post in the Brag Board saying that nobody can discuss FFR-only simfiles. however, i've seen some newbies ask about simfiles of FFR songs on the simfiles board, which has no such rule posted. in some cases, newbies asking questions in this type of case will get flamed, and i'm just anouncing that i'm gonna stand up for them.

it's not like i'm trying to scare u guys away from hurting newbies, i'm just saying this so i wont also get flamed later when i try and defend them as i have in the past. newb-related flaming is a problem on alot of boards, and i always hate it, os yeah....
