    So this is getting ridiculous.

I rarely even post here anymore, but this is frustrating.

Colleen Lachowicz is the Democratic candidate for state Senate seat in Maine. She also leads a "time-consuming double life” as a powerful orc in the online fantasy role-playing game World of Warcraft, says the Maine Republican Party, which is using the hobby against her.

"Colleen is playing at level 85 -- the highest level one can attain," says a recent press release by the state party. "Studies have found that the average World of Warcraft gamer is 28 and spends 22.7 hours per week playing."
    Article

What's frustrating (like always) is how people are attacked for what they do when it's not relevant to their job. Not only that, the media always finds ways to make it sounds worse (yeah, ratings etc.) But how the **** is playing an MMORPG living a "double-life." And what is the point of posting a "study" about the game? Oh yeah, so ignorant readers can think "Oh wow, 22 hours a week on a video game is a lot of time." Most of the time "studies" are fairly inaccurate and it's ****ing annoying.

So yeah, there's my two cents. And inb4 Foxnews and politics.

Someone running for candidacy does other things with her time when she isn't involved with politics?

Insanity, she is obviously a heathen and no one should even consider voting for her. Using your spare time to do things you enjoy is a real crime, maybe she should be arrested.

How long has WoW even been out for anyways?

She could've used all that time since its release to be at that level and not even spend that many hours to do so :V

And then there was the Houston PD sarge that was suspended when her superiors found out that she held down a second job as a "nude bondage fetish model" in her copious free time. At least that's what the radio announcer said.

I'm guessing there's some kind of off-duty conduct expectation at work here, but it's just mind-boggling to me that people care how public figures spend their hard-won free time.

Once you get popular, everyone looks down on things that's not related to why you're popular.

                    amen, brotha.

Also sadly this happens pretty regularly especially if you are in the public eye,
and it's a damn shame that people get critiqued or ridiculed for what they do in their FREE time.
(unless it's illegal or off-putting, which is hard to determine, or conflicting with their ideals perhaps)
