I'm sorry but the knobs are utterly pointless if you asked me

Re: WTF has anyone played this rhythm game?!
That's an awesome mix of Mei.
Also the knobs are a really cool gimmick.
Reminds me of the whammy bar in guitar hero. I like how it tilts the entire play field and the video haha
The more I think of it, you could do some really interesting charting tricks with those knobs. The fact it limits the number of buttons you can press with the rest of your fingers is really interesting.
Like the beatmania scratch disc, but even more limiting. And of course, the more a mechanic limits an aspect of playing, the more chance to show skill by overcoming those limits!Last edited by hi19hi19; 09-14-2012, 07:05 PM.Comment

Re: WTF has anyone played this rhythm game?!
you're a bit behind the times, yeah. although, this game isn't nearly as popular as reflec beat, jubeat, etc.
the peculiar quirk about sound voltex is that bemani went to a ****load of japanese music doujin artists (re: a lot of popular vocaloid producers, and artists that release stuff at comiket, etc.) and got a lot of their tracks in the game. although some of the choice in remixes are kinda... iffy—thanks for another max 300 remix!Last edited by Gundam-Dude; 09-14-2012, 09:59 PM.Comment

Re: WTF has anyone played this rhythm game?!
This was where I got my Getsufumaden song from :V
Anyways, yeah it's been out for quite a while now, a year even. A lot of the songs you hear on YT though are usually "Novice" charts where you still hear the whirrs and stutters in the Novice charts. I'd LOVE to see an album release of all the songs in it.
They actually have QUITE A BIT OF VOCALOID in the game now, the most recent has plenty of GUMI and even Meltdown :V
But yeah, you can see the entire songlist here:

As you can see there is-
