    [4-key] Rottel-da-station & Gun Rock v2

    11/x/x/10/x
Yeah I know, I stepped this song.. Overstepped etc etc, I promise the chart's different from the other ones

    x/x/x/x/10
I stepped Gun Rock for I think DCP or ODI2 (?), no idea which. Imo it's what got me into stepping more and where I learned the basics of layering. I could never find the original chart I made for it, so I remade it entirely. Feels like the old one if you've ever played it

    reviews criticism etc completely welcome

I want to get a bit more active with this SM simfiling, so I think I'm going to hang around here more frequently. I'll take a look at both of these charts for you and tell you what I think.

      Gun Rock v2
      - offset changed from -0.220 to -0.248 [28 ms]
      - file flows really nicely! Mine usage is awesome, too.
      - absolutely LOVE the accenting at 29.671 to 31.978 (and sections similar to it)
      - 67.171: a bit hard to hear what some of these 32nds go to - I hear the subtle closed hi-hats, but that doesn't account for everything.
      - why are some freezes omitted for the sustained guitar at the end of the file?

Most of the nitpicks I have with the file are really minor details, but otherwise, the file looks great and I would definitely play this on SM if I had a not-so-shitty-computer, haha.

      Rottel-Da-Station
      - can't really give you an appropriate offset change because DDream hates positive offsets

Honestly, there's really nothing wrong with either difficulty. Props for nailing a lot of minor details, like the very subtle 32nd bursts of snares, or the the synth that lies on 16ths during the "chorus" of the song. Heavy jack usage on Beginner and understandable mine usage aside on both, but the layering just feels a little too heavy for my tastes. It makes sense, but I personally am not fond of it. I feel like it's necessary to mention that it's correct because while I don't like it, someone else might.

Both of these files are well done, though (can't really expect any different from Ferrari).
