Power Rangers (UPDATE: the simfile is now posted!!)

ok, so i was about to post a topic with the old song for power rangers (the one that played during the intro credits) and the steps i made for it, when suddenly i realized that it's probably copywritten. although, i'm not sure, b/cs the show is reeeeeally old, and i'm pretty sure after a period of inactivity the copyrights wear off. but i dont want to get banned, so i decided to ask first

can i post the old power rangers song with my step files, or should i just post the steps and make people have to take the song off of the site i got it from?

thanks in advance for any help

UPDATE: scroll down for the file
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

I don't think that's true about the pink ranger. I've seen her in a couple of really low budget TV movies and things like that, but I think I'll do a little research if you know what I mean

                and about the steps:
I don't mean to offend with any of this and I'd like to stress that you did way better than I'd be able to pull off. So here we go...
They were all good but I just got a few things that bugged me.
The music seemed too fast paced for such weak arrows on the easiest one. Also, the challenge steps were really crazy. Usually, I think, songs don't tranlsate well into many difficulties. The more difficult steps are very unfriendly to one-handed playing.

about the pink ranger: i heard that on another message board, and somebody put links up to sites with her in them. i didnt click the links, but others did and were like "wow, i'll never look at power rangers the same" or "damn, i always did think she was hotttt." idunno, u do ur research and tell us the deal

yeah, i tried putting in varying difficulties just so more people would like it. the challenge steps were meant to be really hard, and definitly not for 1-handers (of course, they're nothing compared to some of the stuff i've played). i use 2 hands and cant do it. and yeah, songs usually are best at 1 or 2 difficulties. and what do u mean "fast paced"? are the easy arrows too hard?

u see, i think what it is is that people make stepfiles to fit their playing level. like, arch0wl makes insanely impossible stepfiles b/cs he's really good. when i sucked i made really boring easy stepfiles. now, i make things that are harder than most people can handle, but still not that hard comparitively speaking. we'll see what the other people say.

but yeah, thanks for your input if more people respond like that, i may change the steps, but idunno.

I didn't mean the easy arrows were too fast. I meant that the song was too quick paced for so little and far apart arrows. In general, there needs to be more arrows to go with the music well.

I've seen some easier steps by Arch and they're pretty good. You're probably right, though. I'd never make a stepfile so hard I can't play it or so easy it's no fun.

About the pink ranger: I'm in a house with many people who look down upon pornography. So it may be a while before I get the house to myself.

EDIT: Hey! It'd be really funny if you got an mp3 with the part from the show where rita says something then zordon says something at the very beginning. hehe. Good times.

yes, that would be good, but i dont feel like editing nor do i want to go searching around for mp3s. besides, just the song by itself is good.

now, about the easy arrows: i wanted there to be a wide range of difficulties. everything ranging from "holy carp this is boring" to "good lord how can anyone AAA this?!" so that's what i did, and i think it's good. i'd only play it on heavy (and perhaps challenge sometimes just as, well, a challenge). the thing i'm most worried about is whether the steps fit the music and if they're on sync, and i wish some1 would tell me if i can post it or not...

They're sync'd good, I think. You should probably get some second opinions or something. I have a habit of being wrong about this kind of stuff.

yeah, i know how that is. i just wish somebody else would at least look at this topic...i would like a second opinion, or outright permission to post it here so people will be able to play it.
