Hold a DDR-a-Thon... get donations on how long people can play DDR in a row, for instance, 25 cents a song, you last 100 songs, thats 25 bucks

Our DDR-club at school fell due to lack of interest and the freshman leader getting made fun of.. Not to mention the club was just a joke to everyone.. except the 5 or 6 members..

      Good times.

Firstly, It's all about cost cutting, instead of buying hard pads, reinforce soft pads or make one yourself by cannibalising a regular controller, don't get T-shirts printed, buy $2 white ones and write on them.

In order to actually get the money together, you could run a DDR comp, although that requires a lot of decent (or overconfident) players.

well sometimes it's cheaper just to get the harder pads, considering how some people go through the cheaper pads like underwear.

Going door to door asking for pledges or whatnot might not be such a good idea.... since despite how largely the DDR community has grown, it's still not that popular. I mean seriously, 1/3 people you ask probably won't know what DDR even is.

But yeah, Jam posted some pretty good ideas. Car Washs are the best way to make money, because if you do a good job, you can get tips, which believe it or not, can help you out big time.

personally I really don't think you need all that shit, get a couple of pads and a game and you'll be set, but if you really want to raise money then...uh...I got nothin

Get a u-haul, 5 members of your local ddr club and a jack and rush an arcade for their game :P

Or you could just get an actual job and buy a metal pad... Either way option 1 is cheaper. I doubt people will give money so your school can buy a video game. I dont think people will buy into that, even though its actually true.
