Making a custom Toasty for SM5?

So I'm horrible and need someone to congratulate me for playing well. :c

However, there's no default Toasty in SM5 Alpha 2, and I have no idea how to go about putting in my own. Could someone help me? I have my own image and sound file; all I need is how to make it work, and how to change how fast it pops up and the direction it comes from.

EDIT: Getting help from freem right now; if we get it working, I'll post how to do it here.
