What the heck, sm5 can't count?

Some people try to aim for lucky numbers when they step their files. I was lucky enough to step 777 arrows on a file without doing that. In order to be able to realize that, though, I had to FC the song (which is not easy considering my level of expertise).

Just look at those results SM5 throws at me if I were not to FC it, none is right. How am I supposed to understand this? How do you guys do it!?

Basically jumps/hands/etc. are counted as one arrow in the score

I think they're not even counted at all, 549 is the number of taps if you look in the lower part!

Maybe Quads aren't counted in the hands. Is there a quad in the file?

yeah, because there are 549 times when you have to press at least one key
the individual notes in jumps, hands and quads are not scored separately; stepmania isn't ffr
and yeah there's probably a quad in your file that's counted as a hand

Step a file with just a jump, then play it. You'll only get 1 marv/perf/whathaveyou.

I still a bit inconsistent, though, because they count in the combo. :P

What I was ultimately wondering about, though, was how did you guys effectively counted how many arrows you had in your chart without any imprecisions?

PS: yeah I used a quad it does make sense on that part, though I'm a bit bummed SM doesn't see it as one

                    549 judgments = 549 chords

"taps" = all chords with 1+ notes
"jumps" = all chords with 2+ notes
"hands" = all chords with 3+ notes
(Not sure why they don't bother putting quads there lol)

SM5 is BS for other reasons though... pce

Also sm5 counts taps = full combo in the song selection >_> quite confusing
