    Call Me Maybe [Remix]

    Hey - I just made this and it sounds crazy. So here's my remix. So feedback maybe?

      I liked the added instrumentals you added to this, however lyrically, it is way too repetitive. I think if you could somehow play the original vocals over this new beat it would sound good! That's just my opinion, but I'm also not sure of what your goals/purpose for making this remix are.

          Oh, I apologize. When I said "Vocal Remix" I meant that glitching cut-up version of the song around the 1:52 mark
          The entire background I created from scratch.
          And I guess the purpose is just something that sounds good. I guess. I don't really know. But thanks for the input

              This remix is equally as lack luster in content as the original, and the original sounded a lot cleaner.

              tbh you might want to work on making the background music more interesting.

                  I don't really like to repetitive stuff but the background is awesome!
                  The glitching part sounds a little weird in a few parts.
                  Overall very good 7/10
                  But, I'm also very easy to please :P

                      By purpose I wasn't sure if you were a DJ/producer or just making something maybe for a dance party or something (assumed because of how upbeat you made it) but I think 25thhour and I are on the same page. I really like the background music you've created. Hope to hear more remixes from you with other mainstream songs that could be "spiced up" a little because you definitely have some talent with that.

                      On a side note when you get a chance, check out a song I wrote/rapped and had a friend produce. It's a thread titiled: "First Custom Song." Just trying to get my material out there anyway I can.

                              Pretty good except you seemed to miss-EQed the vocals... they sound way off.
                              Try mixing them again.

                              Actually everything sounds really flat. Try to make the kick more punchy, the bass more bassy and authoritative, vocals more in mid-center and "in-your-face".

                                      and the glitch'd vocals seem to be your main thing. Just try making them flow more. Possibly cutting up you original Background with it. It's kinda bothersome to hear the same Bg that was with the original vocals, then again with the remixed ones.
                                      But overall pretty nice.

                                                  Yeah I am having REAL trouble EQ'n - If anyone knows of a tutorial or something PLEASE let me know (I use Logic)
                                                  I try to have everything below 0.0 or else it either clips or decreases the entire volume of the track when normalizing. Once I figure out how to EQ again I will be sure to repost it.

                                                  And it wasn't ripped from youtube... i am honestly confused on why it sounds like that. I think it was the way I extracted the vocals.


                                                  And thank you SO SO much for all your feedback. All of you are making me a better remixer

                                                  (Yeah, the normal version is getting old and annoying. I just had to change it up a bit hahaha)

                                                      Hey, I just heard this, and this is crazy, but here's a shitty song, so dubstep remix it maybe.

                                                      Only catchy gay American pop ***gy musics can sound good if you lower the amount of vocals sung and add a couple well placed drops.
                                                      I don't like dubstep but it's how it works.

                                                      But this shit was nice. More of this. Please.
