    First Year of University. :D

I planned all my classes for my first semester of my first year and this is what it turned out like:

Does this look like a normal courseload? Imo, It looks kinda packed

Trying to find a PHYS class that didn't interfere with my other classes was a bitch, and I ended up having to move ECON to 11 :P

I'm not sure how laboratory work works in Canada's education, but in the US, they are generally long and requires a decent amount of work. 5 classes and 4 labs seems a bit too much, but I'm sure you can handle it.

My geology lab is long as hell. Hope that its something cool :P

I almost have my 2nd term schedule and so far I have no courses before 11 AM

Does anyone know if Statistics 211 (The Concepts of Statistics) would be a realtively easy course?

                      Ow ****, 5 courses 5 labs 2nd semester. I GOT DIS SHIT

Dude thats packed. If you are a work aholic then go for it.

And really to answer your question about Stats - It really depends (to me) on the professor and the university you go to. With 5 courses - 5 labs... you will be pulling allnighters frequently and will lack in the social element. I recommend 4.

                          Re: First Year of University.

Nah, schedule looks fine. My uni we signed up for labs the same as with courses, such that often different sections of the same course were all the same lecture time but with different lab or tutorial times.
Double check to see if your conflicting geology lab time has multiple different sections and check if they're perhaps just not offered because it's full. The first week of classes/week before classes you may find times open up as students change their mind and prof offer more lab/tutorial times.

Very nice that you have no Friday evening/late afternoon classes.

I found my intro stats course to be very simple. However if you struggle with mathematical concepts you will find it difficult. The actual math involved will be rudimentary.

Think of labs and tutorials as scheduled homework time and learning time instead of extra work. They're a blessing and a help.
