find your stepmania folder (usually this is in C:/Program Files)
      open the stepmania folder
open the songs folder that's inside of it
find the folders for the songs you want to delete
      delete them

when you extract an smzip, it automatically loads the song into the songs folder
did you even look at your songs folder? if it's empty please post a picture of it

the same advice still stands. I'll try to be really really specific, assuming you're running Windows 7.

            start
            Computer
            C:/
Program Files (possibly Program Files x86)
            StepMania
            Songs
            (song group folder)

there should be a folder with the name of the simfile you're trying to delete. click and then press your delete key.

watching a basic operating system navigation tutorial on YouTube could be a big help. good luck!

                actually

looks like there are issues with SM5 and simfiles added via smzips. here's a link I happened upon.

Re: I need help deleting a song.

I had this problem on SM4, and recently found out how to find the songs. Not sure if it'll work for SM5.

If you are running Windows Vista(Idk about 7 or the others), go to C:\Users\(Your User)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\StepMania\Songs

There you'll find all the packs and simfiles you installed with .smzip
