Re: Wat?
Hardglitchstylestephop, its super mainstream no00ob.
Just kidding
I like your synths. The panning after the drop is a little odd though. -
Re: Wat?
Thanks Milla & Poison-
Might be finished this time :P Snare is fixed imo, along with the panning. Also extended & added an actual ending.

Edit: So it turns out there may be a problem I'm not able to hear.
If you guys can hear it too please let me know and I'll put a warning up and fix it when I can and I apologize for any unwarranted headaches.djSmashin
Catchy but causes headaches. Your lead is SUPER sharp, and when your tired like I am it just hurts lol.
The melodie is supercatchy though, keep it up!Last edited by Magic_V2; 04-23-2012, 05:40 AM.Comment

Re: Wat?
In all honesty I mix all of my songs using my headphones and TV speakers..I think some people are more sensitive to higher frequencies than others, and it also depends on what kind of monitors they're listening on. How did you mix this? My guess is the listener probably has monitors that use a shelving filter that boost around 10k and higher. You probably had some super high frequencies lying around that you didn't catch when you were mixing because your own monitors didn't have the same frequency response.
So anyway I figured it out, and I've actually made this mistake before and should have already realized it, but I suppose I got lazy due to it sounding fine through my headphones - I use internal mixing in FL, and I didn't turn off my highpass filter to the lead when it wasn't in use throughout the rest of the song. Whoops!
Thank you KgZ!Comment

Goosebumps though, very sick

Re: Wat?
I'm glad you liked it, I enjoyed making it.
Is it really obscure enough to not fit in to any existing sub-genre?
I don't know if I would go with that name though
Now that I've listened to it a hundred or so times I know I need to make the second half more unique, hadn't really given much thought to the constant 4/4 kick (and an out of sync kick @2:38) until I played it for a small group of people on a nice system.
They seemed to really enjoy it, and asked to hear my other works but now it's bothering me. Guess I'll have to be a liar and finish it.. again haha.Last edited by Magic_V2; 04-27-2012, 09:03 AM.Comment

Re: Wat?
When you say samples, I see original sounds
Or maybe I've misinterpreted. Wouldn't be the first time!
I can't really say what my influences were for this, so yeah I know it's not exactly hard enough for hardstyle ( I mean come on it sounds like some kind of jig amirite? ) but I just can not think of an appropriate term.
In techno it shall remain, thank you.
Very kind words, I appreciate it immensely that you and others have been sticking around to hear the final result. Thank you and all other posters as well.Comment
