AUDITORIUM 2: DUET KICKSTARTER
If you've ever played any of Cipher Prime's games Auditorium, Fractal, or iPad's Pulse: Volume 1, consider this a call to arms for their newest endeavor: a full MULTIPLAYER INCLUSIVE sequel to Auditorium! If you haven't played any of these, I suggest at the very least you click on the Auditorium link and give the game a try. It seems like its too easy at the beginning, but it does pick up later (and it IS only a demo). I can assure you the full game is fantastic, and gets much more complex and precise. You can always look at gameplay vids.
Anyway, after unsuccessfully trying to change their company into more of a publisher model, they've decided to go back to their roots and continue making amazing ambient gameplay. And they've decided their first project is to be a sequel to Auditorium, which will include local and internet multiplayer options (kind of like Portal 2's missions). However, they are a little short on funding, and as such have opened a Kickstarter to get the project rolling. If you've never heard of Kickstarter, its basically a website dedicated to fundraising for various creative projects. All of the information about this fundraiser can be found on the top link, but the basics:
>They're trying to raise $60,000 to cover 4 out of the projected 6 months of development for the game (wages, rent etc.)
>The fact they're doing this is because the original Auditorium was completely funded by a donations button on the site. They ended up receiving more than enough to get the game done and released on other platforms.
>If you do decide to pledge an amount, not only are you insanely awesome and I will love you forever, but if you pledge $15 you're basically preordering the game at the same time (and now you get a copy of Fractal free!)
>The money won't be taken from your account until all the funds have been raised, and it if ends up not being enough, no money will be taken from anyone.
As of this post, they're 40% funded with half the time allotted gone, so I've taken it upon myself to try and get other people interested in this as well. And I would also implore you kind folk to cross-post this information to other sites like KBO, Thirdstyle etc. Really, if most of the people who've pledged so far can get someone else/other people to match their amount, they'd be funded in no time. So if only 7 people end up pledging for the game from this, I'll have done my part (yes, I pledged $100. I have that much respect for this company and their games, and I've always wanted to beta test something :3)
tl;dr Help me out okay gaiz?
PS: Since I'll have access to Developer Notes as well as beta testing everything, you can be assured I'll keep you posted on everything that's happening, as soon as it happens... if this goes through... which I hope it does...
