I'm glad people are hyped but someone has to explain the appeal of a game where I already know everyone is a wolf and there's less solving versus more probably random ass IRA and pure TWG politics.
It just doesn't seem to be my thing
In short it's a lot like TWG, but different.
- As raeko said, you need to find a balance between aligning yourself with other players, while knowing at any point that alliance can crumble, dissolve, or merge into other alliances. Your goal is to not get voted off by relying/betraying others throughout the phase.
- The goal is to make it to the end as diplomatically as possible, because those knocked out will be the ones who decide if you deserve to win. Most of the knocked out will be on the 'jury' which at the end will vote the top few players on who will win. So, you can backstab your ally, but that might mean they don't vote for you as the winner later...
- There are so many moving parts, where it will give the hype and feeling of twg but in a different flavor
