In fact I'd probably put it right alongside the two

Bike: 24 NPS sustained over 1.5 minutes, not a ton of 2-jacks but 3/4 galore and just, constant burstage and awkward af patterns
TBC: 21 NPS and 1/2-framer jacks out the ass PLUS 3/4 galore. Over DOUBLE the runtime of bike and like, no breaks after the small 8th stream in the beginning and even the smallest portions that "feel" like a break have janky jacks all over the place. But the patterns are a LITTLE friendlier... sorta
Fireball: 18 NPS and 2 minutes, jacky as shit with janky patterns but a few breakish parts to keep it from really pushing as hard as TBC
    Let the pros rate it.

We (including myself) dont have the speed to compare those files on a semi-subjective basis. You can point out metrics like nps but we know too little about what is hard and what isnt at that level (we only have like a handful of biaised players). As long as nobody gets any equiv on it, there's no point in moving it I think.

I agree with Reshi. No breaks for nearly 4 minutes on a file with 30 NPS is insane. Nobody is going to score well on this chart. 117+ for sure

Valid. I’m just spitballing from what I saw on metrics and watching the file previews and frankly all three files make my head spin

Still... I think we can agree that four minutes of sustained speed and framer-laden patterns is fuckin’ nuts either way lmao

Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19

From what I was able to see in TBC that made me semi-guess a rating of 114:

starting point: miles harder than Undici, at least a 110 without second-guessing

            [+] absolutely fucking unrelenting
            [+] brutal NPS value song-wide
[+] even more brutal in sections where activity is even higher than normal
[+] anchory patterns after onslaughts of tiring sections
[+] conversion is (unsurprisingly) nasty due to the song being over 225 BPM and having 16th minijacks

[-] despite being generally unrelenting, the patterns are quite fair - very little of it has to truly be mechanically manipulated assuming stamina isn't a factor (i.e. not in an ideal world because stamina is a HUGE factor for this) - a person with raw ability and able to handle the ridiculous stamina component required for this will be able to crush it.
[+] fair != easy; the patterns can be executed, but they're about as hard as they can be without requiring manipulation (barrages of non-JTable 24th patterning at 375 + hyper-dense abrasive patterning = whee)

[-] physical requirement to perform the chart structure as a whole isn't terrible (as opposed to bike, as an example)

It is very likely that the chart can be shifted; I'm not aggressively defending the 114 rating at all because I myself didn't get a huge amount of time to actually play this; I'd need to be fully warm and hot (and acclimated to the game again) before I can likely give an accurate and informed opinion. Very few people are going to be able to play this properly.

I think the 114 rating is fair, this is quite a bit easier to play than bike/fireball, but it's length and stamina requirement (plus the sheer number of notes) keeps it above the rest of the charts in the game currently. As AJ said, anyone with the stamina for it would be able to crush it compared to other 110+ charts.

I think one could ask: does it fit in the same subjective bucket as Bolt Thrower ?

Bolt Thrower is the opposite end, in that the stamina requirement isn't heavy but the patterns themselves are ridiculously hard (much harder than anything in TBC). But Bolt Thrower also has far less notes and only two portions of the chart are stupid hard, whereas TBC is hard throughout but no one part is nearly as hard as the spikes in Bolt Thrower.
