While the charts make sense for the most part and are kinda fun to play, I think you are far too focused on making them enjoyable difficulty-wise. Additionally you are ignoring the big picture by designing things in a section per section basis. I reject them due to this fundamental mismatch of approach.

The main focus of these packs is representing a song to its fullest extent. Fun aspects related to physically playing the game (difficulty and cool paterns) ideally should arise naturally from song dynamics (structure, layering, interesting rhythms, etc), or at least designed around these dynamics. Overall difficulty is purely incidental and the file should be enjoyable even if one's level of proficiency in the game is far above the minimum to reasonably play it.

For a quick reference, you can consider my standards of quality harsher than the recent judging on FFR.

Also keep in mind the following term:

-At most one file actively under review per stepartist. Anything that is not releasable or rejected is considered active;

I'll let it slide this time around as I could summarize the review quickly, but you should send only one file at a time. I'll reword the original post a bit to make things easier to understand and clarify what is considered releasable.

If you think all of this is too much trouble for submitting files, that's kind of the point. Only send something if you think it's worth having your file featured in a pack with my standards of quality and/or think you'll benefit from my input in the reviews.

If by autism you mean spending my free time applying professional levels of effort in an activity that improves my writing, develops my graphic design skills, generates content I personally benefit from, and leads me to learn more about music in general --- then yes, this is pure autism. Not to mention I enjoy the whole process and the 5 people who still play the game actually get new files with high standards.

And not sure why you took that quote in particular, high level in this context refers to high level of abstraction.

I have no idea what the hell I missed here. Probably Dingles being an idiot.

Anyways I'll try starting a new OP from scratch and hopefully it meets your standards.

Also I've taken the liberty of removing the mediafire links so no one else can access the submissions I gave to you earlier (because if I didn't wouldn't they technically be released files without Gfx?)

EDIT: Now to scroll through the 200+ completed anime to find an OP... *slowly becomes one with chair*
EDIT 2: After 10 hours of fucking around I binged a little anime and found the next submission for your anime pack. "Symbol" by Luck Life. It's the OP for Shokugeki no Souma season 4 (well Season 3 pt 2) I'll get around to stepping it sometime

Just try your best with the chart, we can iron out its quality over time if need be. My main concern is just having a base idea that fits the concept of the pack(s), so use the files I made available as reference if you haven't already!

Note that for the anime pack in particular, the song choice can be based on whatever song/anime you enjoy the most. It doesn't have to be "good for stepping" as long as you make the most out of the material at hand. In any case the track you selected is cool.

And no problem about removing the links, though I don't think you should worry too much about that.

Also as a minor update, almost finished with a chart for the Comic Girls OP!

Seeing a couple of your files I think I can see the direction of which you want the anime pack to go. It's very light and fluffy and projected to a broader audience which I've never really tried before

This sounds like it could be a lot of fun! Expect a lot of submissions from me if this puppy isn't set to be released soon

Indeed, as noted in the op:

My plan is to have at least 30 files for each pack, probably more for Autotelic Anime. As you would expect, this is a massive undertaking and my tentative goal is having them finished file-wise by the end of 2020, releasing once I get all the necessary gfx.

That's also part of the reason I'm making the files public ahead of time.

I actually think it would be ideal to have something in the range of 50 files per pack, but I wanted to keep the release schedule reasonable
