Have you heard recent rhythm game music? Most of those BMS artists are now working on commercial rhythm games. Yes, even Xi is making original work for rhythm games.

there are actually a large demographic of people playing these "older" files, but none of them are actively going out of their way to participate in the elite clique of sharing/posting their scores to the public.
