            Sounds like a fun mix of classes

            I'm a first year PhD in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization (interdepartmental program between Math (home department), Computer Science, and Industrial/Systems Engineering).

            Classes:
            MATH 6121 - Algebra I
            MATH 6012 - Graph Theory
            MATH 6001 - Intro to Graduate Math
            ISYE 7661 - Linear Inequalities
            CS 6505 - Computability & Algorithms
            CETL 8000 - GTA Preparation (it's a TA training course)
            TA'ing for MATH 1552 - Integral Calculus

            (I'm dying on Tuesdays: I TA from 8am-9, then I have four classes in a row from 11am-4:15pm. I have to explain to people why I eat lunch at 10am on Tuesdays :P)

                26, 2nd out of 3rd year of masters at CalArts.
                Doing Film / Video but now my work has transformed in to 360 video / VR / Video games.

                    It was more of a general statement for courses that require a project and then the university has full access to your work. As a student, you're both losing money (tuition costs and all that stuff) and doing free labor. In a job, you're earning.

                    What is also important to consider is that I'm from the U.S. so Canada might be a bit different with respect to university cost.

                        Late AF reply, but pretty much EVERY math class at this fuggin school has the exact same "attendance not mandatory" policy because the professors know damn well they can't teach this shit (well, at least most of them). Seriously, nice dudes all around but most can't even speak loud enough for the class, they give no examples and they teach like a full chapter ahead of the homework, even teaching past upcoming test subjects sometimes.

                        MyMathLab is a sufficient enough teacher.

                        Oh yeah and I changed my MATH235 from Tues-Thurs to a MoWeFri one that weights homework higher. So now I LITERALLY have no classes on Tuesday and Thursday.
