Would love to get into Melee, but I don't really have the motivation for it.
Been playing Smash 4 casually ever since release though. Like to say I'm above average, but I never go to any locals so I really don't know how good I actually am.

Playing locals is probably the best way to get better in any version of smash because you'll be exposed to different playing styles. I know wii u smash has the online play, but the damn lag is so annoying.
This is for Melee Users Only. This will not work for Project M. If you have are having issues running this build at full speed, we recommend you continue to use the legacy builds of 5.0-321 (recommend

Well yeah, that's usually true.
And excuse me for saying, but it wouldn't be so laggy in Smash 4 if Nintendo decided to region lock the game. Seriously, the amount of players I get paired up with are usually thousands of miles away from me. (Michigan to California, or... Michigan to some random city in Mexico, or... the western cities in Canada.)
Sure, there's other solutions, but Wii-U is a shit console in terms of online functionality. The fact the damn thing doesn't even have an Ethernet port is a big clue, lol.

Just play Melee Light; expected to have further roster implementation and such. It's really neat and if I had the Dinput -> USB adapter I would probably be on it a lot more.
Lol. He actually lives in Florida, and I recently moved from Joliet to Chicago. All of us at one point flew to Florida to his house to bootcamp for an event. His house was nice, but the shower leaked and sucked. Just thought you would like to know about the shower.

That was going to obviously be my follow up question so no need to ask now!
