i dont play 7k/iidx myself so i don't want to comment on those. I like RylNez's vids for o2jam tho he FCC's a lot of difficult songs.

honestly zyphoror is my favorite stepmania player

AAAAing songs isn't hard if you're used to SM timing, and if you're used to ITG you're used to SM timing since they are extremely similar

AAAAing songs is more a matter of focus than anything else, the distinction between 9 perfects and 0 perfects on a lot of songs is trivial as far as adaptation is concerned

ehhhhhhh then why didnt your skill cross from sm to popn back in 04-05

its just too bizzare. i hadn't aaaad anything and i played for years and he goes and does it on some decently difficult charts.

You really need to understand high caliber MA/timing before you can appreciate the difference between 9 perfects and 0 on most files. The difference is far from trivial in 99% of cases lol. You reach a point where perfects almost start feeling like greats in the sense that you know you made a distinct error.

Now take something like comparing 99 perfects to 90 and then you could argue the differences are marginal.

Watching everyone play is pretty insane for me because im so bad at FFR LOL. So props out to you guys, but im gunna have to say Smitty for irl FFRing, because ive never seen so many arrows go so blurry/fast and still watch a AAA, you guys have to see his wrist muscles! Aha. Maybe even an equivalant to that would be the first time i met Luis at Anime North and he killed this really long song (almost 10 minutes?) with a AAA too i believe...!!
As for DDR, Kommisar the first year at AN when he was dressed up as a Vocaloid and just wrecked it.

That is exactly what he is doing, and technically he could do it twice since there are two sides to the drum (two accuracies, red and blue, with the option of using the left or right to hit them). Say, he could hit double on both the right and left sides of the drum, resulting in 4 hits instead of two.

Also love how in each video the player wears a mask.
