What kind of games do you like?

I started playing a game on steam called Last Dream last week since I have a few weeks off. It is on sale right now for 3.99 too.



I was highly skeptical of this at first given how it was made. However, it's an amazing homage to oldschool JRPGs (Final Fantasy 1-6) and Dragon Quest. It has pretty much all of the core elements of these games, executes them super well and delivers so much extra content and sidequests that you'll be busy having fun for a long time. It honestly surpasses most of the oldschool JRPGs made by big name companies in many ways and gives some life to a genre that has sadly died.

I've got about 24 hours in it already and I haven't finished and there is lots left to do. Tons of replay value, complex character building system with lots of depth but is also extremely intuitive, massive world, non linear story progression, sick music...etcetcetc.

A must buy if you're a fan of the oldschool JRPG. I'd also set it to Hard or Harder for first play if you're familiar with the genre (gonna replay it on legendary I think).

Interesting to hear that about Last Dream, I was also really skeptical when I first heard about it to even consider trying it out. Might give it a go while I still have some free time.

It depends on what genre you'd like to play, I mean I prefer anything that uses logic primarily instead of skill (which I guess could coincide) and two of my favorite games are:

Vandal Hearts (Ps1)

Suikoden 2 (Ps1)

Both these games have more games, like Vandal Hearts has a second one available on XBLA. Suikoden has 5 in total for console and more for other systems, but if you were seriously interested in Suikoden, I'd recommend picking up the first three and that's it, and MAYBE.. maybe.. the fifth one.

The Room and The Room 2 for iOS is pretty sick for a puzzle game. Highly recommended.

Lego anything is always a blast

3DS has Mario Golf and Kart, two Zelda games (oot and LBW) which are both beautiful

Wii U has Mario Kart 8.

I did finish the Room (for Android), reminded me a bit of Myst. Fun game. XD

Now I'm feeling nostalgic for Riven again.

If only the series didn't go downhill from there...

Or, if you have a guitar, Rocksmith 2014 is an amazing game that teaches you how to play some of your favorite songs. It's also got some Rush on there, so, you know
