Re: Stepping on Stream (would there be any interest?)
@OP: Yes please!
@DayMan951: Do we have permission fro the song you linked? Would be better to step songs that have a chance of getting in game. a) If song might be in game, step artist more likely to take the job seriously. b) If song gets in game, more credibility to the explanations given.
@Hi19: Never knew you also did this. Would love to see you stepping too. I like most of your files that I have played. Except that aggravating one with no left arrows. Was there a story behind that, or just doing it to see if you could? What was your reasoning for stepping it like that?

No matter what tournament you play it's likely you're going to come across something you don't like or are very bad at. If you want to get into the competitive side of FFR you need to learn how to deal with and overcome these songs/charts.

I found the song and was thinking to myself, damn this is a boring generic Sharpnelmania song
I started stepping it anyway just to feel out how a file would be (I do this all the time) and I noticed the 16th stream melody at the start fit well as 3 arrow rolls. I just kept going with the same 3 notes afterwards for shits and giggles and at a certain point I realized like, haha this could be kinda funny troll file.
Sent it into FFR, it was rejected pretty hard by Jimerax (like, hard hard) but Tass liked it so it got in anyway because that's how Tass rolled back then.
Edit: I did not see it in your set of comments there the first time I looked, although I think I was distracted by something else in the list instead. Cool that you actually keep such a list. I think I will too if I ever start stepping songs. This thread might be good motivation for that.

Re: Stepping on Stream (would there be any interest?)
ilikexd is still streaming now, I am having a lovely conversation with him, but the viewer count has gone down from 8 to 3.
That's basically the problem I had, a lot of people showed up interested then realized stepping is an inherently rather boring activity to watch lol
What would make stepping more interesting? What exactly would people want to be shown in order to stick around?
Perhaps having like a set class on it where you tackle one common issue people face? Perhaps showing more of the basics like just how to get a proper BPM and gap reliably (with and without DDReam)?

Really? Maybe I am just having trouble with Twitch right now. I have not been able to get streams to load. I thought it was just the users not having an "offline" image for their stream. I try again. Ah, there it is! Now just gotta reset my Twitch pw so I can login and comment.
As for how to make it more interesting, I dunno. Will listen and think on that.
