Does everyone in here that actually plays osu! use a tablet?

For any mouse users -- have any tips on getting a bit more precise when going across the screen in long distances? I'm a relatively unseasoned osu! player and I could probably get a lot better if I just figured out ways to optimize my mouse movements a bit more, since I have no issues actually reading rhythms themselves.

i already told AJ on skype, but i'll just post it here for anybody that is wondering

windows sensitivity: 6/11
enhanced pointer precision unchecked
control all of your mouse settings from in-game (i.e. sensitivity and mouse acceleration)
this applies to every game, not just osu!

Worked from the ground up, from failing right at the start, to passing the entire thing. Really happy with this considering the kinds of songs I was playing in my last few posts of this thread.

what DPI do you use for your mouse? cause I'm still trying to find a good dpi for a mouse only setup.

today is a nice improvement of speed ~~~

800/1600 DPI mouse -- pretty cheap mouse, but I don't even use a mousepad or anything; it works well on my table surface. Enhanced precision removed in Windows settings thanks to Fission, and 1.4x mouse sensitivity in game.

Still getting used to the game, but I have a feeling I'll be able to start scoring accurately with mods on files; just need some time.

EDIT: I also just realized that I am -way- better with Hidden on, what the hell? I SS'd the first 120 or so notes in Atom Smasher before completely losing my place and failing, hahaha

Don't worry AJ. You can be just as efficient with mouse then you can with tablet. Just find the perfect dpi and stick with it. Most importantly, have fun with the game.

PS: I can also play mouse pretty well myself. BeatofIke can vouch for me.

My brother was a mouse only player who could pass songs like big black and get 800+ combo on chipscape, 600+ on matzcore's lolicore, etc. Was insanely fucking good. Stopped playing, though - he'll get back into the game soon enough, I reckon.
