Ok Ok, I was trolling a little, but not much.

dr1 reminds me of Perfect Cherry Storm, except without the super awkward sections and no giant jack. I still think it is 70 at most, but I could settle for 71.

As far as 300, I wasn't trolling about that

Totally should be 73 or so.

@ Alex: the solo isn't overstepped at all -- if you were to take the finished collaborative chart, or both separated charts, the solo would look pretty much the same in terms of density/rhythm, and when it comes to something that is reliant on detailing of proper rhythms, you best believe I won't let a single misrhythm slide. Every note in the guitar solo is accounted for appropriately; nothing more, nothing less.

It's not always necessary to step something technically accurate if it breaks flow a lot. Technical accuracy does not always mean fun. Not saying it's not a fun file, but the flow is broken by that roll since the rest is pretty simple.

edit: Might be a bit weird coming from me since "Your One" has a dumb roll too but I didn't think it would come out this hard on FFR. It's way easier on stepmania but w/e, if I knew of this I'd just have removed the 32nds.

Well it's a guitar solo, so it's not like there were other parts to step instead, nor would half-stepping the intensity of the guitar solo would suffice either; that'd play just as terribly in terms of underrepresenting the song. Trust me - I was looking for the best way to step that part without a rigid mindset.

Bumping because I finally had the chance to play the songs.

asdfmovie's rating change is a good one -- not too sure why it was FMO to begin with.

Excluding my collaboration with bmah for consideration with anything, the only file I enjoyed this week was W; really well done, Dossar.

It's not supposed to be a ~Timeless Masterpiece of Stepman Theatre~ it's supposed to be a stupid fun little 1 minute long novelty file. I think it's hilarious and awesome, obviously not everyone will share my opinion. Enjoy it for what it is, pass on by if you dislike it.

I am at work right now so I can't play but I am VERY excited to try Lorem Ipsum. I love love love the song and I am sure if any steppers could do it justice, it'd be bmah and AJ.
That NPS graph looks scary though, dat spike in the solo x_x

yeah, it gets really really fast, haha. To be honest, the song is a lot more awesome than the chart is -- bmah and I both said it a few times and there wasn't much to be done about it. We did what we could.

I actually want to take a video of both bmah's original chart and my original chart at the same time in SM5 so people can see the difference, but I'm not sure I have the charts separated anymore. There are some pretty interesting differences between both charts, haha.

EDIT: hey, I found the charts! Neat

and yeah, I didn't like dr1 -- there's nothing wrong with it at all as a chart but I swear to god it felt like I was doing a backwards roll that wouldn't end; I had to mirror it like a pussy, lol <3
