With the site acting up I don't even know when we'll be launching again as of right now so I can't even say. The 9 - 16 thing can't start until the ties are settled in D2 and 6.

Mirror the tournament round is going to be a week long no matter when it starts.

It seemed fine all day yesterday and then by evening was on and off.

I can't release it if it's only good during the day and down at night considering timezones and people's schedules. Unless everyone agrees they want to play with the site like that.

That's why I said until tonight. I don't mind playing with the site constantly dying, but I still agree with your decision of postponing until we're sure it's fixed.

It's 104 people, that's still a lot. We have the top 8 that's going to be playing for the week. Then the 9 - 16 group that's going to be competing for a chance at vROFL. Then I have to worry about the tiebreaker that's only going to be 24hours.

Ugh, yeah. Tuesday night I was literally choosing between studying for an exam in discrete mathematics the next morning or improving my tournament score. I am so glad the 9-16 second chance contest for vROFL is going to happen.

This, so much. I feel you made the best decision how to handle the issues with the site affecting the tournament.

I will be sad to see you go, for sure. You always hosted lots of cool events and helped me love FFR as much more than just a DDR/SM clone. I have long wished I could match the time, creativity, and effort you put into this site. Sadly, in any leader position it is going to be almost universally impossible to please everyone. Further, it is the ones who speak the rudest and most ignorantly who also speak the loudest and tend to drown out the ones who appreciate and have positive things to say.

I speak for myself and others I know who appreciate what you do, as well as those who may be unknown either for being naturally quiet or simply concerned how those who speak out against you would feel about it. I would urge you to continue contributing to the site in every way you can.

And hey, perhaps we should enforce a policy of being respectful to admins, mods, and everyone on the site. I think that would really help the community.

Granted, that is a specific example that is just what I thought off the top of my head, which could probably be much improved. But if we enforced things like that then I think people would be a lot more respectful, which would make it a lot easier for people to feel like contributing, which would in turn lead more people to contribute, further taking some of the load off of those who already contribute.

tl;dr: Kayla is awesome and you all need to show respect for the effort she puts into this site and comunity, even when you may disagree with her decisions.

Edit: People can think what they want about that, but it is my opinion and I am not ashamed to share it. And if you have any complaits about it, feel free to take them to the Garbage Bin, where they will be burned in a heap.

Can you tell me more about this 9-16 group, i don't remember hearing of this, and by 9-16 do you mean everyone in divisions 1-7 that placed between 9-16 have a chance at vROFL? :O geez if that's true i'm not so dissapointed at where i placed now inb4 i look like an idiot and misread that somehow... XDDD. As far as the decisions you've made, i see no flaw. Trolls will be trolls, sad to say their are quite a few of them here, even worse they're 20 y/o+ which is just down right hilarious if you ask me >.> some people never grow up stay strong though, you have a fam to worry about. Eff the haters, i'm not too involved with FFR, but it will be sad to see you go. Understandable, though.

I haven't really given any details on it yet because I wasn't even going to announce it until it was time. I ended up mentioning it because someone said something to the exact effect in the thread and I was like fffffff now I have to say something. Everyone will get the details once we can start running again.

There's been rules against disrespecting staff and when people get banned for that it turns into staff abusing things blah blah blah. Either way though my leaving is a combination of things not just things in the community.

You should put a front page post up explaining why it is postponed. People deserve to know and be able to plan ahead as best they can.

Hard to plan ahead when we don't even know if/when things are going to be fixed. It's been seeming good all day like yesterday but I have no idea what will happen by the evening.

Edit: Well we're getting into the evening hours now so lets see how it goes. I think by this time yesterday it was starting to go in and out.
