Concerning the issue with the u and two gs, it might have to do with bot spammers.

Rofl... you guys are completely blowing my comment/opinion out of proportions. All I said was that I cannot enjoy FFR nowadays because of the recent song choices. It's my problem and I'm dealing with it. I never said anything about songs not being allowed in the engine. .-.

Well, speaking for myself, I wasn't offended. I apologize if I offended you.
However, I felt like that argument had to be challenged.
I get the feeling that a good number of FFR users latch onto that argument, throwing it at anyone who appears to be opposing what they enjoy. I believe that response is completely wrong. Telling people to ignore an aspect of a game, one where they are just as much a part of as you, isolates them.
For example; comparing FFR to an after school MLP club. You can ignore that club, you don't have to go. You can ignore FFR, you don't have to play.
That might not be your goal, but that's the way some people see it. You can't throw away the fact that stats and other gameplay aspects do depend on the pony songs. You can't justify it by saying 'you should just play for fun' just because some people don't enjoy getting stats. That very feature is what made FFR as big as it is today.
It's better to tell people to tolerate it, or deal with it as others put it.
That's pretty much all I wanted to say.

Do we really need new easy songs? I have personally never understood the argument for them. I am sorry if I derail the thread (although at this point that might be a good thing), but people don't spend a lot of time on easier songs. There are plenty to play now. Harder songs, on the other hand, keep the game interesting for the people who actually genuinely care about FFR (generally speaking, of course some worse players do as well, but most of FFR's biggest supporters are fairly skilled).
Not saying we should never add easier songs, but it seems to me that the vast majority of songs should be 60+."Running is a mental sport...and we're all insane!"

For me it would create a better balance because otherwise I'd just go to stepmania and play a song on 1.2 rate or something
Most of the current easier files don't satisfy for reasons I don't want to go into because this thread has received enough crap (e.g. piano files with grace notes and changing BPMs when newer players should be playing more constant rhythms to not get confused). Lately I've been noticing weird patterns and awkward bursty krap in new higher difficulty files coming out now and that does not maintain interest to me even as a D6 player (going to your statement about interest).
And yes I spell crap like krap because of that Arch0wl Payon .txt file for cases like these

This probably has to do with how most steppers these days are veteran players as well. They like making hard step because that's what they play. Plus, it's hard to make a "good" easy file that doesn't feel bare.
