Damn, a lot of people are excited for this (aside from me that is). When this game comes out I'm gonna have to add a few of you on Live and we'll have to play together sometime.

Yup. I tend to meet a lot of people who were convinced Halo 2 (or Halo 3) was the pinnacle of the series...I wouldn't know since I didn't even own an Xbox until Reach came out (incidentally, that's what we bought it for). I've played some Halo 3 multiplayer, though I guess not what you'd call in its glory days. I won't say Reach was bad, but I can certainly understand some of the complaints about stupid stuff like bloom and armor lock.

Here's to hoping Halo 4 will be the greatest game in the series yet.

Considering what 343 did to Reach after taking over, I don't have a lot of faith in Halo 4. I can only hope they don't kill that as well. (I still play Reach but it isn't as fun anymore.)

are you retarded? Bungie was ruining their own Halo series like George Lucas is ruining his own SW universe

Bungie cracked under pressure to turn Halo Reach into a casual fest. no real ranking systems? wow. the Arena is a huge failure anyway. bloom introduced? the idea is fine with me, but they RUINED their own system by still rewarding spammers over pacers. want a console game with bloom done correctly? Shadowrun does the job.

other things that bungie did to make the last two halo games worse than they could be is they slowed down the gameplay speed. in halo 1, three shot kill is possible with the pistol if you were accurate enough. three shot kills are VERY hard to land. halo 2 comes out, and they replace the purpose of the halo 1 pistol with the BR, and changed it to four shot kill. you could still kill relatively fast, plus if you could pull off button combos, that made a difference as well. halo 3 made the BR shot slower, less accurate, and fixed button combos. still a four shot kill, but nonetheless longer killtimes than halo 2. halo reach... five shot kills with the DMR. with the introduction of horrible bloom as well, they made the gameplay significantly slower/easier.

Now that Bungie realized that they ruined Halo, 343 spawned from the former Bungie employees that knew what they were doing. theyre building a better game than bungie's Halo reach. they started fixing things in Reach that bungie wouldnt even address. 50% of the community wanted Zero Bloom. 343 made that happen. i feel bad for 343, that they have to monitor that piece of shit that bungie left them. Halo 4 will be better than Reach. There will be faster kill times, better/unrecycled maps, and a competitive community again.

I agree that Bungie has made horrible mistakes in each game, but every company that has a long series of games makes mistakes, I mean take a look at all the other large shooters that come out.

I used to play competitively but Bungie got rid of Arena Doubles and FFA Arena so I went to Infection to play for fun, even though Bungie never fixed anything. Then 343 takes over and instead of fixing problems all I've seen are horrible maps being added. I'm not saying Halo 4 is going to fail, since it does have real potential, but if they don't fix the problems with the game and treat it like they're doing to Reach it's gonna be hard for people to enjoy playing more than one or two playlist's.

No just kind of stupid how I say one negative thing about the game and everyone hates on me, I'm a fan of Halo too but I've also noticed it going downhill for a while now therefore my expectations for the next game are going down with it.
