                                            Can someone please elaborate this for me? I know I hit all the rolls, and the score multiplier should be the same for hardrock and hidden, right?
                                            So why is Xay higher than me on the scoreboard?

                                                I think I'm at a standstill in terms of the Best of 2011 ranking charts (for the high difficulties). So much retry frustration for some of these songs ):

                                                    Hard rock increases the number of keytaps needed to clear dendens (spinners), while hidden doesn't. Each keytap in the spinner is worth 300 points regardless of mods, so HR naturally gets you a higher score than HD (if you hit all the big notes and rolls correctly).

                                                    I personally use HR over HD because it's easier most of the time, anyway, lol

                                                    Half time also has the same effect, which is why it's needed in order to get higher scores on maps with very few normal notes.

                                                        I see.. well shit, that's kind of lame actually because it is much harder to SS a song on hidden than hardrock (generally). =S Oh well, I'll get there eventually, maybe.

                                                            Currently 8th in the Best of 2011 ranking chart for taiko, with several unplayed songs.

                                                            Although there's probably more people who haven't given it their all yet.
