as far as skill boosting goes.. dont you have to play to skill boost?? i barely notice reuben ever has many plays on any of the tourney songs and just for today as example.. he has 12 games.. i play a hella lot every day and i improved from when the tourney started but nowhere near the degree of him.. none the less makes it more challenging and i hope him the best.. :/

He has more focused plays. He plays very certain songs, among other methods of improvement to which are perfectly fair

And of course if you're like me and restart everything, restarts do not count as plays.

It's been 6 weeks since this tourney started. People can improve greatly in that amount of time, especially someone from D1/D2 because they have the most room to grow. Pretty much everyone left at this point would be a division higher now. Some improved more than others, but still improvements all around.

This is how my brain functions:

The first set of rolls, AAA'd, the set of rolls at the end, derp like hell.

For some reason I do the derp like hell bit everytime the rolls start in D2's song. Yet, as evidenced, they should be easy. I hate my brain.

My best scores come out of sightreads or 2nd/3rd playthroughs, whoring doesn't do anything for me. Plus I rape the restart button if I'm playing and I can't beat my previous best score. Also, what turbo says:

Everyone's been improving from the looks of it, it really makes me happy. :] Six weeks really did a lot for me.

I've improved a lot over the last month and a half, from barely being able to AAA 5s to AAAing 9s. However, the progress is much slower, and I'm improving in things I'm not even trying to improve in (specifically, for this round it'd be bursts and rolls, yet I've improved one hand trills ha).

I'll try and get back into the top 5, but I expect it's the last round I'll be in. Done better than I thought I would, so I'm happy

Also, Ben, are you a Benjamin or Benedict? I'm the latter :P

This is pretty much what keeps happening to me right now. I just don't see myself beating my 8-0-0-1. But I am just gonna keep trying anyways. My fingers are already in a lot of pain :'(
