I just browse Konachan until I find a bg I like, an then I scale the Bg in photoshop and make the black bars smoothed over to make it less noticeable where the image ends.

:P im more of a minimalistic person :3 i took what was originally a sunset shot of roadway / power lines, and cropped it down to just show the top half of the power lines. changed the light exposure to give it a sort of mid-day fog type look :P then various effects

Was using this for a while lol
A few days ago though I switched to this desktop background and made a nice dark theme to go with it. I opened a window to show the how the theme looks on an active window; I like the way it feels so far.
And yes I know my desktop is ridiculously messy now, but whatever.

The legality of my copy is debatable. It's not outright pirated but I'm using a university copy of Finale 2009... I'm enrolled at said university but not actually attending it at the present moment so I think I'm technically not supposed to be using the program, but whatever- it still works so I use it haha
Haven't had a chance to try any of the new features, but 2009 does basically everything I want anyway.
