Well, coming from the guy that isn't even that good (only have 4 AAA's)...
But, FFR is still good. It is what puts some interest into my life when I am bored.
On the other hand, when you think of it, everything has some point of boredom in it. Maybe because we have nothing to do, really...
Just cause you don't have AAA's doesn't mean you're not good haha, If you're like me, You're computer lags a bit on FFR, Making it hard to keep a PERFECT on every single note.
People should be judged on FC's.

This game is Obviously a waste of time...

Thats why we all play it. What would be the point of being on the computer if your not wasting time?

How is having fun and feeling a sense of accomplishment when you meet a certain goal a waste of time? A better question would be is ffr productive, and the answer to that would most likely be no.

Re: Is ffr a complete waste of time?

It may seem like a waste of time, but myself along with thousands of other people have nothing better to do when we play FFR. I'm just getting through high school right now, so there's not much I want to do with most of my time. Not that I don't leave the house every day of summer.

And it really does help increase speed and reflexes be it in your fingers or eyes. Four and a half months ago I could barely FC the mario remix. Now I can keep decent combos and get top 400-500 scores on the Master's and Guru's songs along with FCs on most songs up through challenging difficulty. Something I can still improve on is keeping the beat with trills.

It's a matter of what you want to do with your life or what best gives you the feeling of accomplishment.

              ...Use it!

I guess that depends on what you mean by "time".

                          I agree with squeek.
Everything in life is a complete waste of time.
Pretty much everything, if its fun.
Then enjoy it while you can, then when you get bored of it move on.
FFR in the other hand... its hard to get bored of because it would take a hell of a lot of time to perfect every single song.
                          Other things for example... hmmm
Ummm WoW, you can get to the highest lvl in a short period of time, not sure what it is because I don't play. So it could get boring quite fast, yet others still like to enjoy it for some strange reason that I will never understand.
Another thing, like basketball or football or even a job, takes time to perfect it.
Even then you can't perfect it because there is always room for improvement.

ANYWAYS THATS MY LONG STORY =D
